I have to admit, though, having three little picky eaters at home oftentimes places the taste of whatever is served ahead of nutritional benefits, so I wasn't sold on that statement alone. I try to use a dessert plate because they are smaller and I won't eat as much food.
I try to drink lots of water before the holiday meals. I also weigh myself each week (same day same time of day) to see if I am getting off track. I am always amazed at how easy it is to gain 5 pounds in a week.
There is usually something healthy (veggie tray, etc), so I try to load up on that and avoid the cookie table!
I exersise before and after to burn the extra calories.
