As it gets colder, I find myself counting my blessings more often and... tend to think more of those who are less fortunate. Turns out, I'm not alone -- Lands' End has started a FeelGood Campaign: with every FeelGood purchase they donate a cone of yarn to Warming Families Foundation that knits clothing for the homeless. Each cone makes up to 28 hats!
If you are not making a purchase at this time, you can still help by knitting a hat and sending it to a participating volunteer group in your area, or by simply spreading the word and encouraging your friends to participate.
Don't know how to knit? Check out this video with Vickie Howell, best selling crafts author and host of TV's Knitty Gritty. Wouldn't that be a good starter project?
